Violent Gale (1984)
On January 13, 1984, a fierce gale swept through the Midlands and Northeast England, with gusts reaching up to 104 mph. It caused major damage and brought extended snow showers and strong winds to the north.

On January 13, 1862, during a series of storms from December 1861 to January 1862, the largest recorded flood in Oregon, Nevada, and California reached its peak, causing over $10 million in damage and killing more than 200,000 cattle.

France – Seine Flood Escalation (1910)
By January 13, 1910, steady rainfall and rising groundwater had pushed the Seine River in Paris up by six meters above its usual level. The situation worsened after heavy rain on January 10–11 left the ground saturated. Thousands of people fled low-lying neighborhoods as early warnings sounded before the devastating peak hit two weeks later.

South America – Historic Flooding in Paraguay and Argentina (2016)
On January 13, 2016, after weeks of heavy rainfall, the Paraguay and Paraná Rivers swelled to record heights. Thousands were forced from their homes near Asunción, while some areas in northern Argentina saw over 150 mm of rain in just one day. The widespread flooding led officials to declare a national emergency.
